Not so much with dogs, but one thing this brought to mind. I really love is going out to see horses on a cold morning and seeing puffs of their steamy, wonderful smelling breath; fluttering nostrils, little nickers of welcome...
Otto was a great host last night! He shared the best lasagne along with his favorite stuffed woodchuck! Those warm brown eyes were looking me over, wondering who this strange person was, and accepted me instantly with loving affection. His huge size is only a clever disguise for the teddy bear personality and sweet nature. Thank you, Otto, for sharing your beautiful home and watching the Packers with us!
